FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Surgisphere Corporation is proud to announce that Cynthia Shortell MD, FACS will serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Surgical Radiology. Dr. Shortell is chief of the division of vascular surgery and vice-chair of faculty affairs at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Shortell is a widely published author of several textbooks and dozens of research articles. Dr. Shortell completed her medical degree at Cornell University Medical College, her surgical residency and vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Rochester, and joined the faculty there before becoming the chief of vascular surgery at Duke. As Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Shortell will ensure that the Journal of Surgical Radiology is held to the highest publishing standards and scientific conduct. She will lead a national group of experts in surgery and radiology, including Harvard Medical School, Stanford University, Northwestern University, Mayo Clinic, Beth Israel Medical Center, Arizona Burn Center, and the Hospital of Saint Raphael. J Surg Rad is a joint venture between the Surgisphere Corporation and Catalyst Publishers of New York.
